ELLE recently honored the action star at an event, highlighting her bravery in confronting alleged mistreatment on set by Justice League’s replacement director, Joss Whedon. According to reports, Gal took a stand when she felt that the aggressive dialogue presented to her character, Wonder Woman, did not align with the character’s image from the first film. Whedon reportedly became verbally abusive, threatening to make her look foolish in the movie.
Despite feeling scared after the incident, Gadot did not back down. She sought support from Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, and together they met with then-Warner Bros. chairman Kevin Tsujihara to address the issue.
